    haze this been done ?

    hi,

    i have mad an php script the almost does the same as an schoutcast server
    it can stream on demand music. (note it won't play in windows media player 11).

    i don't know if this is been done can any one tell me ?

    what reasons do you mean ? i did have to make a mp3 header for it to work.
    the script use almost no cpu power and is not dependent on a database,
    ik can run on php 4.x.x and php 5.x.x.
    the script is still very new and don't know how it will work in deferent conditons.
    the script is ver simple it synchronise the mp3 file and out puts it to the use who wants to stream it.
    it is also competible with a mix of mp3 bitrates, and you can limit the frames the is sent out from the server (read,flush,read,flush....)
