Dropdown menu issues with IE6 and 7

Hi,
Please check the dropdown menu here on IE6 and 7 (Mouseover on menu item titled Workshops)

You will notice that in IE7, it leaves some space between each
element and also it hides behind the page heading. (WORKSHOPSBUSINESS CHALLENGE WORKSHOPS) The same thing happens in IE6 too but the only difference is, it does not leave spaces between
elements.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Deep

Hi,

You can set the z-index on the header and then it will stay on top of the content.

Regarding the gaps I would just give the UL a background color so that they don't notice otherwise you will have to change a few things around.

Code:
#header{position:relative;z-index:99}
.menu li ul{background: #F6F6EA;height:auto;}
The height auto is because you have set the nested ul to about 12px high which is incorrect.

(Usually IE prefers lists and anchors both to be floated or at least have "haslayout" forced in someway. This usually cures the whitespace bugs but it does depend on what else is going on.)
