    problem with firefox

    Hi,

    I am redesigning my websites for sale search engine it looks more or less the way I want it on IE but not on Firefox.

    The problems:
    1) the search box - I can't center it on Firefox but I would like IE to display it like Firefox (only centered)
    2) For both - How can I make the search box to be on the same line with the search field?
    3) Search Results text is not sitting on its div.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Hm, not exactly sure what you mean.

    First of all, get your code valid, both your html code and your css code, there are lots of errors in both.

    Now to your problems:
    1) Do you mean with search box the fieldset "Search"? text-align won't do it for block elements such as fieldset and div. You can apply margin: 0 auto; to your css to achieve what you want:
    Code:
    #search fieldset {style.css (line 53)
    background-image:url(../Searchbox/searchbackground.jpg);
    margin:0pt auto;
    position:relative;
    top:48px;
    width:80%;
    }
    2) you've got a linebreak (<br />) between your input and submit button, get rid of that and they're on the same line.

    3) Again, not sure what exactly you're talking about, but the links that are displayed are simply too long. Not sure why they're even displayed.

    In addition, his doctype is incomplete and in quirks mode. See my link below. Use html4.01 strict.

    Thanks for your answer.
    Sorry for not being clear.
    I've change many things in the code, and there are much less error (but some of them I can't change - otherwise the script wont work)

    My main problem now is that when you search for something the text in #seprate div is not display right on Firefox.

    And by the way what do you think about the design?
