    Files without an extension

For example, how does Google get a URL such as this to work:

    www.google.com/api?weather=00910

...without a file extension? Is it a mod rewrite or what??

yes, mod rewrite can do that but you don't neccessarily need mod_rewrite to modify your URLs. Any mechanism that can correctly map the URL to approprate file in the server file system would do.

Could you give me some code examples of how to this (files without extensions)?

    Just curious. Thanks!
