Hello,
I am very new at this, having read only part of the Sitepoint book. However, before I go any further in figuring out how to create a web application I need to know something fundamental for the application I wish to eventually create.
Can RoR allow for a user to both upload and download attachments that will include PDFs, Tifs, Jepgs, Word documents, etc.? The web app I need will enable users in various parts of the world to post documents for others to work on who will in turn download those documents and repost their edited versions later.
I really only need a yes or no answer in the form of two or three sentences and perhaps a direction to go in if yes is the answer. No need to explain all the ins and outs now because I am far from grasping it, skill wise.
