Just asign the access level in the user management (I am not a linux person but I am sure its the same) for the to be Admin, or Root which ever there is.

You might want to just add the users to be Group Member of Administration or Power User (one level below Root)

    Hope that helps

Why would you want to do that..? They can shutdown your machine and do other catastrophic stuff on will.

Anyway, yes.. on most machines, it requires these users to be in a certain group (probably 'wheel') in order to su to root. So make sure that they belong in that group then just give them the root password.

Why not just give them the root password and let them log in as root.

    wow, wow, wow!!!

back-up! More information! Just what are you trying to achieve??? You don't give root privelages to anyone!!!!

If you are suggesting that there should be some other party involved in being sysadmin for the machine, well, then why not just tell them the root password so they can su into the superuser account?

Not sure what you want to achieve. Please give more info, because, the alarm bells are ringing in my ears.
