    drop down problem

    Hi

    Please have a look at:

    http://www.imageworksweb.co.uk/contr...d_07/cctv.html

    In ie6 when i drop down from Datasheets then the <li>'s are not under each other but there are 2 per line. Can someone tell me how to change this?

    Also, I would like to know how to get the background to change on the drop downs....

    many thanks for any info.

    cheers

    What browser are you checking this in? It's showing up fine in Opera 9.

    Sorry, but my computer's been having a lot of problems lately. I'm trying to stretch out its shelf life until I can afford to buy a new one (even if it's a "stop-gap" machine).

    Hate to say it but it looks perfect in both FF and IE6.0 on my PC.

    HI,

    The drop down in my ie6 is showing two entries per line because the float hasn't been cleared.

    The nav code is a little messy so here it is tidied up a bit and some colours added that you can change to suit.

    Code:
    #nav {
        float:left;
        width:750px;
        height:40px;
        text-align: left;
        font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
        font-size: 12px;
        line-height: 40px;
        background: #339;
    }
    #nav a{
            font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
            color: #fff;
            text-decoration: none;
            font-weight: bold;
            }
    #nav a:hover {
            color: #d5d6ea;
            }
    #nav ul{
         padding: 0;
         margin: 0;
         list-style: none;
    }

    #nav li {
         float: left;
         position:relative;
         text-indent:20px;
         height: 40px;
    }
    #nav a {
     text-indent:15px;
     display:block;
    }
    #nav li ul a{
        width:200px;
        float:left;
        border-bottom:1px solid silver;
    }
    #nav li ul{
        width: 200px;
        border: 1px solid #999;
    }
    #nav li li{
        float:left;
        height:20px;
        line-height:20px;
        width:200px;
    }

    #nav li li a:hover{
    background:red;
    }

    #nav ul li ul {
        position: absolute;
     width: 200px;
     left: -999em;
     z-index:999;
            color:#fff;
            background:blue;
    }

    #nav ul li:hover ul,
    #nav ul li.over ul
     {
     left: 0px;
     top:40px;

    }
