Sometimes pages on the forum look like that here too but then, I'm still on dialup. A refresh usually fixes it. I think it happens because the styles are embedded rather than linked so pages take longer to load.

Yeah, it's a caching issue. What type of connection do you have, dc_dalton?

That thing happens to me every time but it is during the loading of the site..once that is over every thing returns to normal.

I have seen it like that in the past, but that only happened once. Never had that problem again.

I'm on a screaming fast cable connection. Funny thing is I couldn't even post that first post properly, the site was too fouled up to be able to use the post option buttons properly and a hard refresh didn't help at all.

I had major issues with that the last 2 days Dave. I was wondering what was going on but a few people told me it was just me

things are ok so far this morning but yesterday and the day before were miserable.

OK I beg to differ but this is not a browser caching issue. Not only did I clear the cache, I closed and reopened the browser and did several hard refreshes.

Something on the server isn't sending the style sheets properly

EHH, think I found the problems ... the site is throwing a massive amount of javascript errors. Here's just a few I get in the error console:

I think this is an intermittent server issue, rather than browser or cache related. If our static content server were not responding, it would cause both CSS issues and the JavaScript errors dc attached.

We'll certainly be looking into this.

yep! I am seeing sitepointstatic.com taking longer times to load contents these last couple of days too! but nothing that's as important as what Dave is witnessing!

Well the good news is I haven't seen it happen since my last post, I did notice the server is a little slower but no SP bombs like those.

Loading like a rocket over here (freaking amazing) EXCEPT when I try to first hit the site, then I get a 20 seconds of waiting and BOOM it's there.
