What software powers SitePoint marketplace?

I am very happy to find a programming forum this active. I have two questions that I really hope to hear some ideas on:

1. What software/application powers the sitepoint marketplace, as well as earnersforum' marketplace (http://www.earnersforum.com/marketplace/)

2. How does one make the blog work in a similar fashion as again both forums:

The sitepoint marketplace is custom coded. That other forum copied their work.

I was guessing that it was custom work. However, the resemblence is way too close - that's why it seemed like a software that can be purchased.

stymiee, thank you for the hint. Do you know whether it is possible to integrate WordPress with vBulletin membership database to have replies posted in the format of threads?

Thank you again. Pretty much it is custom work around two solutions: MarketPlace and Blogs.

Possible? Yes. Easy? Probably requires quite a few hours of work and a decent familiarity of how vBulletin and Wordpress works.
