featured thread in advanced search

Hello,
I am a bit disapointed that the featured threads get lost in time sooner or later.

I think it wouldn't be too hard to make them available as an option in the advanced search of SPF, or something like that.

I know someone's gonna tell me to bookmark the ones I'm interested in. But I work at three different places and live in two different places, plus not everyone always has the bookmark reflex, plus my bookmarks would get quickly crowded, plus what happens when you take some vacations?

This would be a nice feature to have. But in the meantime, the best that you can do is go to your member control panel, click on subscribed threads then create a new folder in there called "Featured Threads".

Then, whenever you see a featured thread you want to save, click on "Thread Tools" at the top of the first post, then "Subscribe to this thread" and stick the featured thread in the folder you want to store it in (in this case your featured threads folder, or whatever you choose to call it).

I know, it's a pain in the neck, but it's the best that can be done in the short term.

I know that about 6/7 months ago someone requested that Sitepoint would just make a archive with the previous "Featured Threads".
That would be even easier. I'm still very much in favor of that!
