How to show the existing files in my local computer to the nodes of treeview??

    Hi,
How to make the nodes (Tree View control) referring to the files stored in my local directory (e.g.: drive C) and display the file details in List View control?

    Is this possible??
    Thanks.

Hi, rusagar. Terms like "Tree View Control" and "List View Control" can refer to a number of different technologies. (.NET, Java, Javascript, BlueShoes CMS...) If you can tell us what technology you are referring to there may be someone here who has experience with it.

That said, if you're running Windows, it may be helpful to look into the COM/.NET extensions for PHP and the FileSystemObject ActiveX scripting component. Each drive and folder in the FSO has a Folders collection and a Files collection.

For a JavaScript TreeView, another approach would be to iterate over a directory listing using readdir(), is_dir(), etc., and insert the file and folder names into the tree-building functions provided by the TreeView's API.
