Er, off topic, but Suscribe to comments is far the most useful pluggin to me, although I set it to unchecked and give users a choice instead of 'tricking them'

There are essentially two anti-spam plugins for Wordpress: Akismet and Spam Karma.

The first is not offering any way of sorting or comfort functions at all while the second will not be developed any further after the next update and was slowing down my blog, or more precisely the comment function of my blog.

Anyone who knows a plugin that extends Akismet ?

Believe it or not i only stumbled across Akismet about three weeks ago and what a difference it makes. I also use the AL1 SEO pack, and diggit plug ins too. <snip> I tried the automatic upgrade plu in too but had very little success with that. Also i notice Akismet has a new stat counter plugin out - any good?

I try to keep the number of Plugins I use to a minimum.

That way, there's less chance of a clash.

Oh, don't worry about me. I'm not going to remove it since the link is relevant to the thread. Others might though due to self promotion, but that's their call to make (though I'd really appreciate it if the other Advisors and Team Leaders leave the link in place since I'll be using it as a reference when I get around to updating the thread and creating a categorical list of WordPress plugins the SPF community uses...).
