I got a client who is looking for batch watermarking software. I know this can be done in Photoshop, but she doesn't want to rely on me to do it because he'll be uploading photos to his site everyday and relying on me will slow down the process for her. Any recommendations for this type of software that a client can use?
You can look for a suite of command line graphics programs from a company called "smalleranimals". Pretty cheap, under $100. I've used it several times in batch files for running through complete directory trees converting and resizing dvd cover art to standard fullsize and thumbnail images. Tens of thousands of images.
Sounds like a job for Coppermine. It's free, has a good (excellent?) admin interface for easy uploading/updating and a lot of plug-ins including for permanent and non-permanent watermarking (based off ImageMagick or GD).
