Blog and Ping List

Hello,

Does anybody have a list of sites to ping whenever one posts a new blog? I have a rather old list, but it seems like a hassle to attempt to verify each and every one. (It may even be beneficial to sticky such a list...)

There is an extensive list in the WordPress codex. The page is "Update Services". It's a bit out of date. It has a link to the "WordPress compressed all inclusive ping list." which is also a bit out-of-date now. Most are still good, but I did just remove a few that were repeatedly failing.
EDIT: @ses5909 BTW one of the ones I removed was:
unable to connect to xping.pubsub.com:80 (Unknown error)
