making a taskbar with JS

I want to use a DIV as a taskbar. I have generated the windows with "prototype.js" 's window.js. when minimized these windows will be minimized to the taskbar (i. e. my DIV). I have made adequate changes to the minimization function of window.js so that when minimization button clicked the window will be appended it to the DIV. but I can't make the "look and feel" of the DIV imitate that of a taskbar.

any suggestions? Plz help.
