Old Javascript Needs Fixed

Greetings everyone,

I'm having an issue with a problem with Javascript on my website. Please note I didn't create the javascript someone else did a long time ago and I'm using it with their permission and they are no longer on the internet or in webpage ways.

The basic problem is that these pages work just fine in IE6 and IE7 but with Firefox 1 and 2 they work but not as they are suppose to.

Any fixes you guys can give will be great, but please make it simple for noobs like myself ^_^

defining a variable is basic javascript stuff, not advanced at all. If you're that new at javascript I suggest that before you start taking your existing code apart you try a few tutorials. The w3schools site should be enough to get you started in the right direction. No one will be able to help you fix your code until you get at least an understanding of the basics.
