I have narrowed my list down to HomeSite and Hot Dog. They are both about the same price.
I'm just wondering if I can get some feedback on these two editors or can someone suggest another editor thats better at the same price range. I am just learning HTML and have decided to go this way rather than Frontpage or some other editor that teaches you nothing and so you get lazy. I'm 54 years old and willing to learn. Help in Mo.
You can even get a great program with similar possibilities and even more for FREE!! 1stPage 2000 of Evrsoft is a great program and it has even Coldfusion support etc.
Homesite (from the same company as Cold Fusion) has Cold Fusion support and If Hot Dog has custom syntax coloring and external tools it has Cold Fusion Support.
Homesite has the best interface and feature set among any HTML editor. It is one of the ones I use because it isn't WYSIWYG. I haven't tried HotDog for a long time though. Homesite used to be shipped with Dreamweaver (weird that one editor has to use another for some advanced features but anyway) as well, though I don't know if it is anymore or not.
As for FirstPage 2000, I tried it and it wasn't as nice as Homesite even though it had a very similar interface.
