Using <object> for video in firefox??

Hi all,

I have some movies on my webpage that I added by using the following code

<object classid="clsid:22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95">
<param name="autostart" value="false" />
<param name="FileName" value="my_movie.MPG" />
</object>

but it doesn't work in Firefox?
For once something works fine in IE but not firefox...
Is the object element not supported in firefox?
What's the deal? Any help would be apprecialted!
