    Hotmail problem with sending mail.

    I have a website where people get a random code and need to activate from their e-mail. So I include the code in a message that is sent when they ask for it.
    But it seems like many people with hotmail accounts have problems getting this. It happens to one or two other as well (at least what I heard from people telling me they never got the message). Can anyone see anything that might make this part work for all?

    This is what I have in my code:

    PHP Code:
    $msg1 "Hej $name $lastname<br />
    <br />
        Text text text
        <br />
        - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -<br />
     <br />
        Activate with the following link or copy and paste code into browser:<br />
        "
    ;

    $msg2 "
        <br />
        This is your random code
        Code:
    $randcode<br />
        <br />
        - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -<br />

    By bye!<br />
         <br />
        Brad"
    ;

    $msg $msg1 $activate_link $msg2;

    $email1 $mail1;

    $site_name "mysite.com";
    $site_email "info@mysite.com";
    $header="From: activation@mysite.com \n"

    "MIME-Version : 1.0 \n"

    "Content-type: text/html ; charset=windows-1252 \n"
    @
    mail($email1,"Activation for my site",$msg"FROM: $site_name <$site_email>\nContent-type: text/html\n\n");

    It's either the header that are missing or an over active SPAM blocker at Hotmail.

    Using Swift Mailer helps:

    But Hotmail is notoriously difficult. I'm informed they actually charge to be whitelisted.

    The SPF record on your domain is almost vital for hotmail... if you don't have one, get one.
