Need help with basic Domscript

Hi all. I'm using the slideshow script from Jeremy Keith's Domscript book on this page:
http://www.unusualindustries.com/

Works fine in FF on Mac and Win, and in Safari on Mac except in IE6 and 7 the image loads in a new window instead of on the same page. I cannot for the life figure out what is going wrong here as it's a very basic script.
Any help much appreciated!!

P.S. the same script is being used on:

this works fine in IE, go figure

Apparently, when using getElementsById IE trips over id's and elements with the same name.
