    Localhost compared to Server Testing

    Hi Guys,

    i'm developing a site just now using (wamp) everything is working great sessions when you login work brilliantly, the thing is when i upload the site to a (free) host for testing the sessions don't seem to be working at all, when someone loging in it's meant to say "welcome $username"<-- whatever it may be on localhost it works great only when i upload to this server it's:

    www.110mb.com

    is there something i'm doing wrong or do you think it's more to do with the server?

    cheers for any info guys

    Graham

    create a file called php_info.php and put in it
    PHP Code:
    <?php
    phpinfo
    ();
    ?>
    put it on the host server and also one on your server. Run them and compare the session characteristics and settings.

    Hi Mate,

    Thnaks for the reply i did as you said 1 or 2 slight differences:

    session.bug_compat_42 = off on server on in localhost

    session.gc_divisor = 100 on localhost 1000 on server

    i would say that's the only thing different anything else i can check at all?

    cheers

    Graham
