    Recurring JS code at the end of pages

    Hi all,

    on a lot of pages, I see the below Javascript at the end of the code. What is it used for?

    Code:
    <script language="JavaScript">
    <!--
    var SymRealOnLoad;
    var SymRealOnUnload;

    function SymOnUnload()
    {
      window.open = SymWinOpen;
      if(SymRealOnUnload != null)
         SymRealOnUnload();
    }

    function SymOnLoad()
    {
      if(SymRealOnLoad != null)
         SymRealOnLoad();
      window.open = SymRealWinOpen;
      SymRealOnUnload = window.onunload;
      window.onunload = SymOnUnload;
    }

    SymRealOnLoad = window.onload;
    window.onload = SymOnLoad;

    //-->
    </script>
    Kind regards,
    Michel

    window.onunload;
    This will fire when you browse off a page or when web browser is closed

    window.onload
    This will fire when everything on the web page is loaded

    SymRealWinOpen; SymWinOpen; Sounds like some sort of pop up or pop under thingamajig

    This code is written on your local machine by your Norton antispam/popup program to prevent window popups. It propagates to others when you view source and save the source (including this generated bit) on your site.

    Thank you, I'm glad I know where this comes from :-)
