When I fill out both name & comments (both are "manditory") the script works perfectly: see link below to view page in question
However- when I fail to enter either "name" or "comments", and I go to the "error" page which asks me to enter this information, and I do this - when I then click "send" it cannot find the file !?!
(example: Not Found
The requested URL /home/httpd/cgi-bin/guestbook.pl was not found on this server.)
Why can it find it when you fill out both, but not when I send from the error page??
Anyone have any ideas ??
I am no ".pl" guru but it seems to me that the script is used for both senarios so why can it not find itself from the "error" section ?
I fixed the problem myself- it was a path problem.
I did have some clown (who could only have been one of the 6 persons to view my post) come in and clutter up my page with junk urls.
(I took the link back off the page above too)
To the clown-> grow up.
I will send your IP number to Sitepoint-> I'll leave it up to them if they'll let you stay a forum member or not :-)
don't even use any Matt Wright scripts, use the ones re-written by a group of experienced perl prorammers that replace Matts insecure and poorly written scripts:
