Inventory - Dispaly and Updating.

I'm currently a novice when it comes to PHP and MySQL. I've been asked to build a site in which we can keep inventory of a selection of products, which will have two pages. One to update said inventory another to display it. How complex will creating such a system be and is there an easier way to go about this task?

that of course depends on how much you already know - there are loads of good systems already available although for educational purposes you are probably better to have a crack yourself.

You would keep the display page and the admin page seperate considering that they will be significantly different from each other, it will also simplify your permissions system.

If you have a decent book eg. Kevin Yank's php book, you could probably finish these two pages in about 2-4 hours depending on your existing knowledge.
