I'm looking for a small, inobtrusive and compatible date picker that allows you to easily jump years, even decades via a simple dropdown menu.
I know there are a lot of date picker scripts out there (I like this one for it's simplicity http://calendar.swazz.org/) but most of them are either too complex and incompatible with some browsers or they don't allow you to jump the year easily.
I want to use this thing as a help to input the birth date of a new member. It's important that you can select the year as quickly and easily as possible.
For what it's worth, I am also developing a free/open source calendar that almost fits the bill (quick year selection is not yet a feature, and the text box pop-up is mostly developed but not released). Here is a link: http://www.paulbutler.org/archives/p...ript-calendar/
I've seen this JSCalendar thingy before but I don't like it for certain usability flaws. No average user will understand that you have to hold the left mouse button to get a selection menu for the years.
