    PHP write error?

    Hi,

I'm working on a project for school, but I'm having trouble getting some open source PHP calendars that I downloaded to work properly. If anyone could take a look and point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated, as I have very little experience with PHP:

    permission

Hi blax, welcome to the forums,
The key word in the error messages is "permission".
As it says, you must set the permissions on that folder so the script can work with it.
There are 3 "areas" and 3 "kinds" of permission.
    "User", "Group", and "World"
    and "Read", "Write", and "Execute"
You need to go to that folder and set it's "properties" to something like
rwx-r-r or maybe 0744 or 744 for example.
To know exactly what you need you could just set for all permissions (777) to be sure it works and then work down until only the minimum needed are set.
You don't want to allow more than needed.

    Hi,

That was suggested to me initially and I tried it, but it does not seem to have any effect. I'm not sure if its my FTP software, or if I simply don't have the administrative privileges to make that change. If it is the latter, I'll talk to my teacher about it and see if he could possibly make the change for me.
