    The command line

I have a question about the command line. After I fire up the web server by entering the "ruby script/server" command, I cannot enter commands into the command line.

    Is this normal?

    Thank you.

It is. Open another console window for other tasks or run the server in the background (./script/server& on Linux).

You will need to open a new ruby console window if you wish to use the command line. Once you fire up a server, it will use the console window to display all messages that it commits to log. You could, of course, press CTRL+Pause/Break to quit the server and regain the command line.

    Thank you

    Thank you.

It's a small point, but it's really helpful to get things done. I guess I learn best from initial frustrations.

    Regards,
    Paul
