The Oceania teams are looking pretty good at the moment Tyssen. Mind you, I learnt a long time ago, NEVER bet on the New Zealand cricket team.

If there was money involved I'd back Aussie.

I'd probably also back the aussies, they seem to be playing the best cricket, but here I came across an article by Boycott, and surprisingly, he is betting for Sri Lanka !!!

^ I think it is their coach Whatmore doing the trick. He is one of the best in the business.

I agree, it is under him that the SriLankans became what they are today. I am wondering this morning who will Whatmore coach next!

Wow. I went to bed when Australia was still bowling last night and I have to say, I wasn't confident. Then I woke up and saw Australia had beaten England by 7 wickets.

Yeah, but this is the same BD that has already beaten Australia, India, Pakistan and New zealand in different occassions ... they seem to be a better team than Zimbabwe, for example. Should come among the best 8 teams today. They reminds me of Sri lanka in the 80's.

But anyway, Australia will probably lift the cup. What I don't understand, how can they play so well, consistently. Even when teams like India and Bangladesh play today, you can't really tell that India will definitely win, but when Australia plays against most of the countries (may be except SA) you can pretty surely tell that Australia is going to win.

And the way today the Irish are playing against the kiwis (172/5 - 38.1 overs, NZ), if they can win, this world cup will be famous for instances of minnows beating champs.

Dang man! I didn't watch the match. I read about it the next day and was shocked!

Previous world cups SA played well and lost because of bad weather or Alan Donald, haha... well bad luck. But this time round, they are just not clicking, though they have a really strong team.

    SA all the way!

    NZ finish with a flourish

McCullum and Franklin spanked the Irish bowlers to all parts of the ground in the last three overs as New Zealand recovered to post a healthy 263/8.

Yes, those last overs and then Kevin's run out were the turning points of the game.

I think that Bangladesh vs. Ireland match is going to be interesting.

I'm so dis-appointed with Ireland. I was supporting them.

Say what, I'm even more dis-appointed with WI...

Yeah, SA hammered WI today like India hammered Barmuda a few days ago. 36/1 after 10 to 356/4 after 50 ... SA revenged the BD humiliation. Poor Lara !

I was proud of them. Anyone saw the match??

I think most of Bangladesh's problem is that they put out so young a team. The second thing is that Ireland shows a lot of fighting spirit through-out the series so far.
