Hi Everyone,
Does any body know who Google is using for their message board service in Google Groups? I can't find a plug anywhere on the site. Do they even use a service? This is exactly the message format I would like to follow for my site. It is simple and very easy to navigate. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. Just enough to get the point across, and email with a reply.. If any body has a suggestion for a message board provider I am all ears. I'm not too crazy about SMF. Just me I guess. I do not mind paying for the service.

It's Google, I'd be willing to bet that it was developed inhouse (most of their stuff is).

Google Groups is what is left of Deja News, which was an online Usenet newsgroup reading/posting service purchased by Google in 2001. Google has since revamped it and upgraded and changed it a lot (such as adding the ability to create non-Usenet groups).

It's proprietary, though.
