Amazon Honor System?

Has anyone used the Amazon Honor System? Just curious to know if people actually donate to sites using it.

it works, but most sites have the best results with it n the first 30-45 days (most that r gonna donate do so then and few repeat), then it's down hill from there.

I've heard good things about it - not sure how it compares to PayPal, though, as far as advantages/disadvantages. A friend used it to gain some needed revenue help from his visitors. The more loyal your audience is, the more of a success it'll be.

i'm not sure... the fees are pretty large. 15% of total payment plus .15 cents are taken away. That means if someone donates $300 to me amazon takes away $45.15!!!!!

The good thing about Amazon's system is that so many people already have their credit cards stored there... people can make a donation with a "single click" -- which increases your donation rate, and decreases the amount of work that people have to do.

While you might save a few percent by using something else, your donation rate will decrease by even a greater percentage. That's my educated guess.
