Website Search

Hi All

I have to make a search facility for a website.

I have never done this before.

It needs to be pretty good a bit like the advanced search on SitePoint.

It will search 1 field in the DB.

Does anyone know a good tutorial or can someone give me example code?

It depends what you are looking for, you've been a little bit vague about the field being searched, but take a look at full text searching (if you use a compatible storage engine - Innodb doesn't support them) which allows you to 'weight' the search results.

Useful to know whether applicable here or not.
