Forgive me.... I'm a complete Python newb. I'm trying to get mysql-python installed correctly but am having no luck. Here's what I have tried:
Code:
#check to see that my MacPython install worked
MotherDrive:~ gmacgregor$ python
Python 2.5 (r25:51918, Sep 19 2006, 08:49:13)
[GCC 4.0.1 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 5341)] on darwin
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> exit()
MotherDrive:~ gmacgregor$ cd src/MySQL-*
MotherDrive:~/src/MySQL-python-1.2.1_p2 gmacgregor$ python setup.py build
This results in a huge error: http://pastie.caboo.se/42127

I think that maybe I haven't set something up correctly in my .bash_profile or .bash_login. FYI, my .bash_profile looks like this:
Code:
# Setting PATH for MacPython 2.5
# The orginal version is saved in .bash_profile.pysave
PATH="/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/Current/bin:${PATH}"
export PATH
and my .bash_login like so:
Code:
export PATH="/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/mysql/bin:/usr/local/subversion/bin:$PATH"
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here? Any help appreciated...
