    what is this effort? is it similar to IBM's MQSeries?

    Wink if you don't mind an answer from someone who no doubt knows less than you about this

    I think Cocoon is a web/application server, perhaps similar to IBM's WebSphere - MQSeries seems to be messaging middleware, along the lines of TIBCO's products

    I'm sure you'll get a more informed response
