Is it wrong to position everything absolutely in css?

Im trying not to but sometimes it seems like it would be so much quicker.

Its for my portfolio, which means it will be getting updated every month or so not on a regular basis

Absolute positioning tends to be much more brittle then other techniques. It removes elements from the flow so other elements can't know where they are. They don't work very well with non-fixed-width layouts.
