Find Diffs - on two tables?

    Hi,

I was working on a dataset longer than anticipated, and the old (live) data now has some updates in it. 3 tables are involved.

Is there an easy way to find out the diff(erence)s without comparing one column with the other?

My new dataset has lost a few columns now, and I can easily copy the live data and give them the same schema.

Rows have been added to the old data so thats not a problem - but I want to spot the rows that may have changes so I can inspect them - it should be a few tens and the most...

    Thanks for any pointers.

    Edit:

I did search the forum, but the answers seem to deal with checking single rows, as I said.

Longneck, sorry for the delay in replying - yes they do have primary keys, and apart from the handfull of new rows the keys are the same.

    Arghhhh...

Thanks all the same, will get on with it.

I just thought it seemed an obvious thing. I thought that someone would have created something, but it seems everybody thought someone else would do it - and nobody did.

Getting too used to diff and cvs tools - and getting lazy I guess!

    Cheers!
