    Problem with Packaging Ruby App...

    Dear all rubiest,

    I want to make my ruby app to executable for windows or Linux. Which tool I should used. rubyscript2exe.rb not work in my ubuntu. Is there another tool? Please help me...

    Rubyscript2exe is only relevant to Windows. To make a Ruby file executable on Linux, and assuming you don't want to have to run it using the ruby command directly, first add the shebang line to the top of the file (usually something like: #!/usr/bin/env ruby) and then chmod the file to make it executable (chmod +x yourfile.rb). With the shebang and executable permission the .rb extension isn't necessary.

    Thank you Luke,

    Now, I'm OK with executable. But there is still problem. I want to distribute my app to another. I need to package all of lib file I used. Is there another packaging tools..?

    You could either package it as a gem or simply tar it up.
