Continuous Audio / Across multiple html files

Sorry for a noob question here... but,

I have a flash site that I am converting over to HTML, but the client has requested that I keep continuous audio track throughout. The audio will be played though flash still, but I know I cannot have it reload on each page the users visit.

Initially I was thinking of using an i-frame for the audio, and then have content swapped out, but ugh just not sure.

Any advice, or direction is much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    W

Unless you go with a frameset, or import your entire site through either an iFrame or OBJECT, your best bet would be to have a popup window for a "media player" that people can control (or even remove).

In fact, that's the option I recommend most, as it gives the user the ultimate control over whether they want to hear the audio file or not.

    Heya Dan,

<off-topic>Good to hear from you again, you must live on this site. hehe </off-topic>

I like the audio pop-up idea the best as well.. I am not too hot on code, but know enough to copy paste, or reference. Do you know of any online examples that I might be able to learn from, or grab some code?

I was thinking of doing a small player pop-up that has the embedded flash player in it.

    Cheers,

You're going to want to look for some JavaScript code to open a new window. Preferably something that's unobtrusive and accessible. Unfortunately, I'm not great with JavaScript, so I really can't help you.

This may be of some use to you though:
