    Question shopping cart from scratch...

    I want to build a shopping cart from scratch. suggest me books .
    i want to integrate xml ,web2.0 etc.
    also want to make it ebay,amazon, friendly.

    I have exp in classic asp ...shall i continue with classic asp or get into asp.net...

    any open source frame work ?

    Why reinvent the wheel? There are TONS of free and pay shopping carts available out there that will do everything you would ever want them to do. Here is a starting place for ya:

    It depends on your situation, unless you are developing something really unique and you have a client that is paying for it I would look to one of the existing providers.

    Having said that I have my own shopping cart that I have coded from scratch in ASP but it has taken me 3 years and there is plenty that I still need to do with it.

    I think if you can, .net is the way to go - I've been trying to move away from ASP for years now but I keep having to come back because of all the old code I have hanging around in ASP.
