    popups

Because popups have been so badly abused in the past (multiple popups, popups that can't be closed, etc) AFAIK control of popups is now in the context of the browser not the web page. If you want to make sure the user doesn't exit the page and lose form field info, best to use an alert or confirm.

So would the PORN site owners because the blockers are blocking their exit popups that spawn an extra five os so porn site windows every time you try to close one. With the way things are now they can only trick people into visiting one page of a porn site instead of showing them thousands.

I have discovered a very cool effect - triggered by only one (secret) line of Javascript. It causes an arm to come out of the user's monitor, holds a gun to their head, and forces them turn off popup blockers!

I'm going to be charging a very high price for this secret code

So you're the one that found the gun that will completely trash the entire internet and destroy the computer industry within hours of the trigger being pulled. I hope you have hidden it in a safe place.
