Help needed with adding code to mySQL

Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.

Our online store www.mountrepublic.com has many pages, we would like to alter the html title tag for the brand pages and product pages such as these
    http://www.mountrepublic.com/brand-page.php?brand=27

However our previous developer says we can not alter the coding for any off these pages as they are dynamic and stored in a SQL database. Whenever we add a new product or brand it is stored in PHPmyadmin.

I asked about this issue in the database forum, a user named Rudy told me i needed a PHP coder.

Is there any way off editing the coding for a page like this? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Bill

He is the forum advisor apart from being a very experienced expert in databases. If he says something, trust him.

As for your question regarding PHP, you have come to the right place. But before we can do anything could you care explaining your problem in a bit more detail?

Yeah youd probably need a bit of code adding to your admin tool to enable an update on the table where the page title is set.

Its hard to tell without more info about your system. Some relevant code would help!

    Is your site custom designed?

Basically what you need to do it to make sure there is a field with each product and category in your database that contains a title.

When the site dynamically creates the page, it needs to pull the title, or part of the title from the database, and add it to the <title> tag in the head of the document. Depending on how your site and database is setup, this could be as easy as adding a field to your database and some simple coding on your site, or it could require some recoding of the entire site.

It is completely dependant on how the site is currently setup.
