Send email without server side code

    Hello,

Does anybody have a snippet of code that send an email that does not require server side programing?
I would like to use <form> tag and some input fields within this tag.
The idea that email would come to me like this:

First input field: user's input here
Second input field: user's input here
    etc.

The major thing is that this needs to work in all major browsers

    Thank you.

JavaScript can not do this. I recommend you read this article.

The only way that works with all major browsers is to use server side processing to convert the form to an email.

Many browsers will assume that any reference to a mailto: address is a request to open an email program and will ignore any form content. In any case mailto: links are not guaranteed to work in all browsers as the client computer may not have an email program (eg. internet cafes, libraries etc).

If your hosting doesn't provide the option of server side processing then your only choice is which third party form2mail script that you decide to use. One place where you can get a third party hosted script to do the processing of your form for you is http://www.bravenet.com/
