pop up windows

Does anyone know a real step by step tutorial on how to do an automatic pop up window. For example I want a window to open up as soon as someone visits my site....but I also want a cookie so that it does not open when that same person visits again within a specified time frame it will not open again. Like on this page: http://www.bodyforlife.com

I don't know for sure, but I think that can be done with javascript... I know a popup can be, but I mean one with the cookie and timeframe...

Hi Stephanie,

You can find an explanation here http://www.marketingchallenge.com/backissues/popup.html . If you read the note at the bottom of that page it says it will only pop up once, what that means I'm not sure. It may only pop up once so long as that cookie still remains on your comp.

I'm sure someone will be along to give you the answer your looking for, but if not you might want to check this out.
