three column design

How would i go about doing a three column design where left side had random quote and poll, middle column had body (text, etc), and the right column would have a mailing list sign up and maybe a search engine. There would be a header and footer which would have the navigation. I would want to do this without frames. I know this probably is the wrong place to post, but I won't post it anywhere else, unless told.

To do this, you would use a table with three columns. You would then nest other tables within the three columns and lay out your content. Follows the code for a three columned table:
