I don't believe there is a way and if there is, you can be certain that it isn't cross browser. I guess you could always write a java app or a flash presentation, but that isn't HTML. Anyway, what's so critical that you want to save a couple of pixels of space?
I just think my new layout would look better with a thinner scrollbar ^_^;

It would be too much of a headache to try to get the scrollbar thinner. Trust me, most visitors are not looking at the scrollbar in comparison with the design. It's the least of your worries

You can use a DHTML layer with a scroller to mak it thinner
Not working in Netscape though

You can't make anyone love you, you can only stalk them and hope that they panic and give in!!
If you are talking about the regular scrollbar though, then no, you can't change it. It's an OS widget and can only be changed at the OS level.

But if you remove the scroller and than add a dhtml scroller then you can make it as thin as you want to![]()
