    server side flash detection?

can you use php to detect if flash is enabled/installed on a users machine? it's not important, more a curiosity and matter of code cleanliness.

    *edit*

you know, this really didn't need to be in client side scripting.... sometimes i don't think, you know?

Another thing you could do is put a small Flash movie on your non-Flash version page, and then have this redirect to the Flash version. This way if they don't have Flash, everything loads like normal- and if they do it will redirect them to the Flash version. You could even put this little movie into an invisible div.

    Good luck!
