    Question Frame Location Change

Let's say I have a page divided up into 2 frames (I know frames aren't the best choice 99% of the time, but that's beside the point ):

I'm looking for a way for frame 1 to be notified when frame 2's location (url) changes. However, frame 2 cannot call any function to frame 1 to notify - in other words, frame 2 cannot actively notify frame 1 whenever it changes.

    probably a dumb idea...
If I need to add a 3rd "hidden" frame to control this and do the location checking, that would be OK.

I'm looking for the most stable method to go about doing this.

    Thanks for your help!

You can do it in first frame. Add a timer function to check for the url of 2nd frame.

try this url to get an understanding of timer.
