    MySQL nightly reset with perl/cgi

I am making my first CMS site and I want the admin page to look like the one PHPArcadeScript has. They have it so it shows the number of unique visiters for that day. At midnight it logs the number of uniques with the date and then the counting starts over again.

My question is how do I have the script that logs and resets the data do what it is suppost to without executing it.

    Thanks in advance.

So how does it work? Can some one give me an example or elaborate more? The code that PHPArcadeScript uses looks pretty basic. I'd show you but I don't want to get in any trouble with them.

your question is not very clear to begin with. Obviously no program can be reset or do anything without being executed or run. If you are saying you want automated execution of programs you would use a cron job (unix, linux) or a task (windows). Search on google for "cron job" or "windows task" which ever is appropriate.

I'm not sure what else to suggest.
