    Image Problems

    Hi all!

    It's been awhile since I've posted a question, but I have a quick one now. On this site here, there exists two problems

    In FF, and Opera there are gaps between the main.jpg and the leftbar background image... I already added in the img display block code however that doesn't fix that problem... Also in IE6, when you view it the left column is pushed over just a bit... I've tried to use conditional comments to try to eliminate any hacks in my CSS code, however whatever I do with the comment does nothing to fix the problem..... Thanks if any of you could help!

    Hi,

    I think the gap is caused by the margin on the heading,
    I start everything these days with
    Code:
    * { margin: 0; padding: 0; }
    As it removes all these unexpected gaps and I can apply the spacing that I want and not what the browser thinks is best.

    Edit: The actual problem is the margin on the paragraphs in the left column
    If you don't want to reset everything then you may want to use
    Code:
    p { margin: 0; padding: .5em 0;}

    Thanks a bunch! That workaround fixed it... Howeer, I'm a bit confused as to how adding a top padding would fix that gap issue?

    Also, does anyone figure out why my conditional comments didn't work?
