    Question CSS Border doesn't fill entire page

    I'm having trouble getting this border to wrap around my content in my WordPress theme.

    It seems to only go as far as the Sidebar.

    Here's a link to my site to see the problem

    If anyone could help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,

    You just need to clear the floats.

    Code:
    .clearer{
        height:1px;
        margin-top:-1px;
        clear:both;
        overflow:hidden
    }
    Code:
                    </ul>
                </div>
            <div class="clearer"></div>
            </div>
        </div>
        <div id="footer">
    You also have "haslayout" problems and need this fix:
    Code:
    /* mac hide \*/
    * html #contentwrapper{height:1&#37;}
    /* end hide */

    Read the faq on floats and the entry on "haslayout" as these issues are explained in detail

    Working, sort of

    Thank you for the reply.

    I read the faqs and implemented what you suggested, and it works with the exception of the border which now has missing parts, even though it extends around all the divs...

    Hi,

    It looks ok to me.

    I assume you cleared your cache or refreshed your page to get the new css active.

    No I was looking in ie5.5. and ie6 and firefox as you didn't specify a browser

    It's probably the same "layout" issue but with a different fix for IE7.

    Code:
    #contentwrapper
    {
        border: 1px solid #c7c7c7/*white*/;
        padding: 10px 0px 15px 5px;
        margin: 20px 0 15px 0;
        min-height:1&#37;;
    }

    min-height will force layout in ie7 and should have no detrimental effect on the layout for other browsers so doesn't need to be hidden.

    Try that and see if it cures the problem.
