    Recording ad clicks

Is there a simple way of tracking when an ad is clicked on just using JavaScript?

I'm guessing using a form with the ad image as the submit button sending an email to me. Is this the best way?

The code must be able to redirect the user to the advertiser's website even if JavaScript is not switched on.

We do not use PHP/MySQL or any other RDMS for this particular site - just plain old HTML.

You cannot send any emails using only html and javascript.

The host has FormMail, so they have the cgi script for that. I'm just wondering if this is the best way to do this.

If it is this FormMail script Then it seems you can send it to more than one email address and you can send even hidden subject, so you can modify by javascript contens of that hidden subject, when user click the link.

Yep, I thought as much. Thanks for your tips. I guess this is the only way, although I can see that it will require a fair amount of admin on my part at the end of the month. Probably hardly worth it. Guess I'll wait till the upgrade to PHP/MySQL.
